Awarded the American Planning Association Smart Cities Award in 2018, ComuniDADOS is a data visualization tool designed to make data accessible and actionable for the communities that help create it. Originally developed during a National Science Foundation postdoc study (2015–2017) investigating the social and physical impacts of slum upgrading in São Paulo's largest favelas, the tool has evolved into a resource for community empowerment. Today, ComuniDADOS enables transparent access to project data, fostering collaboration, accountability, and meaningful insights for the communities Kristine partners with.
