Kristine Stiphany PhD AIA

Kristine is the founder and director of CHAPA. She specializes in the practice and politics of housing informality, with an emphasis on how infrastructure networks synthesize collective action, urban redevelopment and design, especially in Latin America and along the U.S. – Mexico border. Kristine’s scholarship was most recently published in the Journal of Planning Education and Research, and her community-based design for the Brownie Neighborhood Park was awarded the Studio Prize by the Texas Society of Architects.
